Dr. Nikolay Barashkov is an internationally recognized scientist with 40 years of experience in polymer chemistry, photochemistry and photophysics, as well as nanotechnology.
He earned his Master degree in polymer and organic chemistry and technology from Institute of Fine Chemical Technology, his PhD in polymer chemistry and degree “Doctor of Sciences” from Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry.
He has co-written eight books (3 published in English, and 5 in Russian), 150+ peer-reviewed papers, and holds 30 Russian, European and US Patents. Prior to joining Micro-Tracers, Inc., Dr. Barashkov accrued extensive experience in academia and industry working on the synthesis and study of new polymer-based materials (pigments, inks, coating, active media for light-emitting diodes, lasers, plastic scintillators, etc.).
As the Director of R&D and Technical Services at Micro-Tracers, Inc. he is responsible for R&D and QC for all Micro-Tracers, including newly developed SECURtracers.
