Dr. Jonathan Germain is a chemical engineer with experience in polymer chemistry, semiconductor manufacturing and nanotechnology. He earned his Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Howard University and his Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. His thesis combined polymer chemistry and nanotechnology to develop materials for hydrogen storage. During this time, he published six peer-reviewed papers, including a subject area review for a nanotechnology journal, “Small.”

As the former lead developer at Micro-Tracers, Dr. Germain led a group that developed and implemented the SECURtracer manufacturing process, including transitioning the process from small scale to commercial production.
