The U.S. Commercial Service (USCS) at the U.S. Embassy in Colombia hosted a seminar to spotlight SECURtracers, our on-dose authentication technology designed to effectively combat counterfeit medicines and save lives.
We were honored to have officials from the Pharmaceutical Cluster of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (Cluster Farma – Cámara de Comercio de Bogotá) and the Colombian Pharmacovigilance Association (Asociación Colombiana de Farmacovigilancia) enrich the event by sharing vital insights and strategies for detecting and mitigating falsified medicines.
We also had the privilege of initiating and participating in a high-impact discussion on the future of pharmaceutical supply chain security in Colombia. Key contributors included the National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia (ANDI – Asociación Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia), the National College of Pharmaceutical Chemists of Colombia (Colegio Nacional de Químicos Farmacéuticos de Colombia), and POLFA of the National Police of Colombia (POLFA of the Policia Nacional de Colombia).
Key takeaways from the event included:
- Advanced traceability technologies are game-changers in the fight against counterfeit medicines.
- Single-dose authentication is revolutionizing patient protection.
- Cross-sector collaboration and unified efforts are essential to drive sustainable change in safeguarding public health.
We look forward to continuing these crucial conversations and deepening our collaboration with these esteemed organizations!
